Discovering Seashells

Hey everyone!
Today I wanted to share a card I made using
Even though I'm dreaming of warmer weather,
this is what the beach really looks like up here in Northwestern PA
right about now -- still cool and chilly, but still great for walks
as long as you bundle up and brace yourself against the wind. ;)

I used my Spectrum Noirs in shades BG1, BG2, BG3, and LV1

I hope you like it!

Have a great day!

Shaker Full of Happiness

Hey everyone!
I'm sneaking under the wire tonight to join in

Paulina, owner of Pretty Pink Posh is sweet as can be,
and her idea for a sequin shaker blog hop was genius!
So many cute projects are linked up over there --
you'll definitely want to check them out.

I used the Mama Elephant Up & Away stamps and dies,
and some Pretty Pink Posh sequins, of course!

It's my Make A Card With Christy - Sequin Shaker video.
Enjoy!

And please don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe!

With Sympathy

Hey everyone,
this past week I found myself in need of a sympathy card
for a co-worker who had just lost her father.
It's never an easy thing to make sympathy cards, I feel,
but they're so essential in expressing your condolences to others.

So I decided to film a video and walk you through my process
using the Avery Elle Petals & Stems stamp set
as well as a few of their inks and Memento Luxe inks.

I hope you enjoy.

Today I'm here to share another card from the

I've been feeling that lack in the industry for a while.
So happy we have these now!

Spectrum Noirs in shades: FS1, FS3, FS8,
GB4, GB6, GB8, GB10, DR3, DR5, BG5, BG6, BG8, BG10,

Lawnscaping Challenge #80

Hello! Welcome to Lawnscaping Challenge #80,
which is all about creating mini cards, sets, or projects!
We are so proud to be sponsored by the lovely folks at Lawn Fawn
who have generously donated a FREE stamp set to our winner.

I needed a quick boyish birthday card, so I decided to break out
Year Two in combination with the Stitched Journaling Card die,
which makes a perfect mini 3''x 4'' card -- just die cut two,
score the back one at 1/4'' and put your adhesive above the score line.
Sandwich together and viola!

I hope you like it!

Please head on over to the Lawnscaping Challenge blog
to check out the other amazing design team samples
and don't forget to upload your mini cards and play along!

Have a great day!

Somebunny Loves You

Hey everyone!
I'm back in the wee hours of the night after finishing up another card

After a busy day of errands and grocery shopping
I sat down and watched The Voice for a bit
(love Adam, but always got to root for Team Blake!)
and after that was over I felt like I had a little juice left in me,
so I decided to head up to my craft room and see if I couldn't
find a little more inspiration from the Mama Elephant challenge photo.

I hadn't inked up my Honey Bunny stamp set yet
so I pulled that out as well as the matching Honey Bunny dies
and put on some tunes and pulled out a couple of 6x6 pads --
I just love combining patterned papers and layers!

A closer look at some of the details:

Anyway, I think he turned out pretty darn cute.
Hopefully the lovely ladies over at Mama Elephant like him,
and hopefully you do too!

Sleep tight!

Lawnscaping Challenge #79!

Hey there! Welcome to Lawnscaping Challenge #79!

We are being sponsored by the lovely folks at Simon Says Stamp
who have generously donated a $25 gift certificate to our winner.
Thanks, Simon!

For me, this challenge was a no-brainer.
I've had that little tub of Wendy Vecchi embossing paste
sitting on my desk since I bought it over a month ago, unused.
This Try A New Technique challenge was the perfect opportunity
to open that bad boy up and put it to use!

And yes, it really is as cool as all the hype says it is!
I wasn't able to film a video this time,
because I was doing so many things at once,
but I definitely plan to do one soon.

I used a Crafter's Workshop Cloud stencil
and Lawn Fawn's Dream stamp set.

I hope you like it!

Please head over to the Lawnscaping blog
to check out all the other amazing DT samples
and to link up your projects and play along.

Have a great day!

It's A Good Day To Be Happy

Hey everyone! Happy Sunday!
I know this isn't my usual day for posting, but I wanted
to get this card linked up to the Mama Elephant April Challenge
as soon as possible -- the prize is a guest spot on their design team!

I'm sure you already know by the frequency I've been using their stamps
as of late that I am totally, head-over-heels in love with Mama Elephant!
So I just had to make a card as soon as I saw the inspiration photo.

I really love the soft hues of aqua and green against the white.
So I incorporated those into my card using my go-to set Up & Away,
along with the matching Up & Away dies, the cloud from the
Landscape Trio dies and my new favorite, the Femme Frames dies.

This is also Card #9 in my 2014 Spring Series on my YouTube channel.
I hope you enjoy the video!

Have an awesome day!

I Like You

Hey everyone!
Today I'm popping in to share my Spring 2014 Series Card #8!
I used an adorable stamp from the Sweet November Fairwee's line
called "Josie's Brella" and paired her up with a sentiment from
Lawn Fawn's #awesome stamp set and clouds from the Spring Showers dies.

I also filmed it as a start-to-finish card with real-time coloring

I hope you enjoy!
