Thinking Of You And Smiling

Hey there!
Today I'm here with another new release from Crafter's Companion.
They've added a brand-new line from artist Sheena Douglass.
It's called Floral Fantasy, and consists of four beautiful sets,
including the Wild Rose and Hibiscus I chose to use on my card.

Aren't they pretty?
And while I was at it, I decided to film a video
showing you how I put it all together.

Lawnscaping Challenge #58

Hey, girls! Welcome to Lawnscaping Challenge #58!

We are being sponsored by the wonderful Lawn Fawn,
who has generously donated a free stamp set of the winner's choice.
Thanks, Lawn Fawn!

Here's my card:

I used the new Critters at the Dog Park stamp set
with a sentiment from Love 'N Breakfast.
My papers are from Daphne's Closet.

To get the texture on my pup, I took some
Copic Blender fluid and dabbed it on my
colored dog with a washcloth.
It's a great technique to use for furry critters!

Please hop on over to the Lawnscaping Challenge blog
and check out the rest of the design team's
amazing CAS creations and also play along!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Have a great day!

Mother's Day Card and Handpainted Pottery

Hello, lovely ladies!
Today I wanted to wish all you mothers,
daughters, sisters, and friends a very special Mother's Day!
I hope you're spending it with someone you love
and who will treat you as special as you deserve.

I made this card using a couple of stamp sets from Crafter's Companion,
which is one of those flowers that you could stamp
a whole bunch of and color and color -- so fun!
I chose to do this one in shades of yellow with my
and stamped my sentiment from Party Paws "Bamboo".

I also wanted to share with you the pottery bowl I hand painted
for my step-mother as her Mother's Day gift.
I went to a wonderful local place called Claytopia
and picked out a large bisque mixing bowl and covered it
with bright yellow flowers to match her kitchen.

Here's the result:

The rim is a dark green, not black as it looks in the pictures.

I didn't want to give it to her empty so I filled it
with a dozen or so oranges.

I hope she likes it!

Have a wonderful day, everyone!

The Traveling Bird

Hey, y'all!
I've got a pretty little card to share today
using a great stamp from Crafter's Companion.
It's called Hummingbird Wings from the Stamp-It Australia line.

I did some *very careful* selective stamping
on the hummingbird's body
and paired it with some papers from AC Soho Garden
on a yellow swissdot notecard from Bazzill Basics.
Added a little doodling around the inside edges
of my die cut to tie it in with the paper and give it a fun look.

I hope you like it!

Have a GREAT day!

Lawnscaping Challenge #57

Hey girls, welcome to Lawnscaping Challenge #57!

We are being sponsored by the amazing Simon Says Stamp
who have generously sponsored us with a $25 gift certificate
to our winner. Thanks, Simon!

Simon Says Stamp

Here's my card:

I used Lawn Fawn's Summertime Charm,
both stamps and matching dies, Good Fortune,
Fluttering By, Year One, and Harold's ABCs.

I have to admit, I thought I had a brilliant idea
when it came to me, but it somehow didn't execute quite like
I envisioned it, and I ended up being a little disappointed.

For starters, it's hard to get blingy on a masculine card,
but I really needed one for my hubby's birthday.

I guess it happens sometimes, huh?
Projects don't always turn out according to plan.
Ah, well. He'll appreciate it and that's what counts. :)

Head over to the Lawnscaping Challenge blog
and check out the amazing creations the DT made.
They'll inspire you to play along for sure!

Have a great day!
