You're the One for Me

Hey everyone! Happy New Years Eve!
Tell me, has 2013 been good to you?
For me, it was definitely better than 2012,
but there were a few things that I expected to happen
for our family toward the end of this year that didn't.
But that just makes me look forward even more to 2014!
It's definitely going to see some big changes for our family
as my husband prepares to take his State Nursing Boards,
find a new job in that field, and definitely a MOVE
as we are looking to buy our first home.
I'm super excited and already pinning ideas on Pinterest
for my new craft space, whatever size that may be.

This will be my last official post of 2013,
but definitely STAY TUNED FOR TOMORROW.
I'm taking part in the Season's Givings Blog Hop
and there are TONS and I do mean TONS
of prizes that will be up for grabs, since every single person
in the hop is hosting a GIVEAWAY.

I will also be showcasing a few of my favorite cards of 2013
and introducing the first installment in my Loads of Love
2014 (and first ever!) Valentine Card Series.
I hope you'll make time to come visit!

But before I get ahead of myself,
let me get to today's card.
stamp set combined with a sentiment from

I colored my image in with Spectrum Noir markers
GB1, GB2, GB8, GB9, GB10, GG1, GG2, GG4, GG5

Interestingly enough, both my first and last posts of 2013
used Strawberry Kisses images. :)

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed it!

I wish you all a very safe, happy, healthy and prosperous New Year!

from Crafter's Companion and I've colored it in with my
in shades BT1, BT2, BT3, GG3, GG4, GG5, TN1, TN2, TN3,
PP1, PP2, DR5, DR7, DG2, DG3, LY1, BGR1, and BGR2.

Winter Won-deer-land

Hey all!
It's the final video in my 2013 Christmas Card Series.
I made it to a dozen, and I'm so thrilled at how well it was received!
I'll definitely plan on doing another one next year,
but I'll try to get a head start and see if we can't make it to fifteen or so.

I'm also thinking of doing a few other video series
throughout the year, so stay tuned and make sure
you're subscribed so you don't miss any. :)

This one is using Mama Elephant's Winter Wonderland.

Enjoy!

For Goodness Sake

Hello all!
Are you waist deep in Christmas preparations?
I know I sure am!
I still have gifts to buy, cookies to bake,
heck, my tree isn't even up yet!

I know that somehow it'll all come together in time,
but I'll sure be glad when the big day is finally here
and I can just relax and enjoy my family.

Until then, I better get back to it.

Hope you enjoy card #11 in my 2013 Christmas Card Series!
It's using the Iconic Christmas stamp set from WPlus9.

Glad Tidings

Hey everyone!
Today I wanted to share with you the 10th card
in my 2013 Christmas Card Series.
This one using a sweet Impression Obsession stamp
called "Lamb Awaiting" that my dear, sweet friend
Kari Webster sent to me. :)
I love her.

I paired it with a sentiment from Paper Smooches "Glad Tidings"
and tried out a chalkboard technique for the first time.

You Made The Nice List

Today I'm here with the 9th installment in my
2013 Christmas Card Series!
Woohoo!

I am having so much fun with it!
My only regret is that I didn't get a jump start on it earlier.
I was shooting for at least a dozen videos,
but with Christmas fast approaching,
I might only make it to 10.

I hope you all have been enjoying it as much as I have!

Today's card features two Mama Elephant stamps sets,
Cozy Christmas and Toy Shop along with papers from
the December Documented 6x6 by Simple Stories.

Fawntastic Day

Hey all!
I'm here tonight with a card I made for the

Obviously you know you have a patterned paper addiction
when you cannot find a single card you made in the last year
that does not have any patterned paper on it!
That was one of the requirements, no patterned paper,
not even Lawn Fawn's, because they will be releasing new
collections that they want to showcase instead.

I tried to make a card inspired by Lawn Fawn's logo,
which meant going CAS - VERY unlike my typical style.
I think it turned out pretty cute though.

I used Into The Woods stamps and dies,
and Milo's ABCs as well as the Quinn's ABCs dies.

I hope they like it!

Falling White Flakes

Happy Saturday!
Today I am here with a card share using the Stamp-It "The Snowflake"
exclusive set from Crafter's Companion.
This sweet baby was a bonus stamp with a $50 purchase a while back.

I white embossed it and then distressed it with Festive Berries
Distress Ink and then went around the edges with Fired Brick.

To finish it off, I added some sequins from Pretty Pink Posh
with a dab of Viva Decor Pearl Pen in the centers.

I still have lots of Christmas cards to make!
How are yours coming along?

Peachy Keen Noel

Hello everyone!
Tonight I did something I haven't done in a long time.
Played along in a challenge!
Well, at least one that I'm not on the design team of. ;)
I do love challenges, but I just seldom have any leftover
crafty free time that isn't committed to personal deadlines.

But I recently came across the WPlus9 Monday Mood Board
and I determined that I would find a way to fit it in!
I ADORE WPlus9 Design Studio products and I think
that Dawn, the owner, is just as sweet as can be.

So here's Monday Mood Board #29.

I thought the pretty peaches, oranges, green, kraft and white
would make a really unique combination for a holiday card.
So I pulled out Iconic Christmas, one of my most favorite
Christmas stamp sets on the planet.

Here and here are some other cards I have made with this set.

I also used some Studio Calico papers and May Arts ribbon.

I hope you like it!

The Monday Mood Board Challenge is still open for another day,
why not create something and play along?
I'm glad I did. :)

Have a great evening!

Wrapped In Happiness

Hello all, happy Friday!
Today I am bringing you exciting news,
as Crafter's Companion is releasing another brand-new line.
The Christmas Sentimentals were so popular, they decided to
design an Everyday Sentimentals set as well!

For my card I used one of the many wonderful sentiments
in the Friends and Family stamp set -- one of FOUR in this new line.
Making your sentiment the focal point is a great way
to whip up quick and easy cards!

I hope you'll check out the whole Sentimentals range

Have a great day!

2013 Christmas Card Series #4

Hey everyone!
Today I'd like to share my 4th installment in my
2013 Christmas Card Series!

For this card I used the set "Lighter Than Air" from TAWS
where I show you how to look for everyday  stamp images
that can do double duty for your holiday cards.
In an unplanned bonus, ;) I show you how to cover up a mistake
so that no one but you will ever know it's there!

I colored this card with my Spectrum Noirs
and go over that with a Wink of Stella glitter pen.

Hope you enjoy!

Christmas Lanterns

Hello there!
Today I've got something totally different to share with you all
and I really hope you'll like it!

It's not often that I share the work I do at my day job here on my blog,
but we got these cool new lanterns in and I just had to make
some Christmas arrangements with them.

I thought they turned out pretty, so I snapped some pics to share.

This one was my first attempt.
I used lots of branches, pretty red and white chevron ribbon
paired with a narrower snowflake ribbon, and added red berries
and a cardinal in a nest as my focal element.

For my second one, I wanted to go a little more elegant,
so I used lots of gold and silver accents, with some cream and white
elements including bulb ornaments and pointsettias.

Both lanterns have a battery operated candle inside.
You don't want to use a regular candle unless you had no plans to light it,
since the decorations are definitely flammable.

I'm really curious to hear what you guys think. :)

I know you come here looking for card inspiration,
but I hope you don't mind a break from that this once. :)

Have a great day!
